The Oakwood Climate Consulting team and associated partners, have extensive expertise working on energy and environmental sustainability projects and programmes across a wide range of business sectors. Our work is predominantly with UK clients but covers geographies in Europe and North America.
This has been our primary focus in recent years, covering operational energy and sustainability services, building performance optimisation, design evaluation particularly for refurbishments, the application of Smart technology and decarbonisation strategies and technical solutions.
Ranging from individual retail units and garage forecourts to major shopping centres, our work has included energy surveys, energy performance strategies at portfolio level and the development of energy efficiency heating, cooling and refrigeration systems, including display cabinets.
Our work has covered sectors including automotive, aeronautical, pharmaceuticals, food and drink and printing. Services are predominantly energy and water surveys and industrial process optimisation, including the application of advanced heating and drying technologies.
Including both primary and secondary care, our work has primarily been associated with energy audits and carbon management but has also included the development of heat networks and energy performance assessments for major refurbishment projects.
Our team has supported a number of universities with their estate strategies, including the development of heat networks, and have also provided teaching support through the development of assessment tools and guest lecturing. At secondary level, we have carried out energy audits and renewable energy assessments, including the application of ground source heat pumps.
Working predominantly for three water companies in the UK, our work in this sector had included energy surveys, renewable energy assessments and the application of an environmental assessment for the development of water treatment works. This included the evaluation of carbon emissions for different water treatment technologies.
Our work for the public sector has focussed on energy and carbon management, providing both strategy development and cost reduction surveys. This has included projects with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation and a range of local authorities across England and Wales.
